Hands-on treatment, built around you

Every session starts with what is going on: your training, your work, where it hurts and how you move. Then the right mix of techniques is picked for you. Most sessions combine two or three of the treatments below.

Sports Massage at Next Level Sports Recovery

Sports Massage

Firm, targeted work on the muscles you use hardest, to ease tightness, clear niggles and keep you moving well.

The core of what we do. Every session starts with a chat about your training, your job and where it hurts, then the pressure and techniques are matched to what your body needs on the day.

Ideal around heavy training blocks, after a big game or a long week on your feet, or whenever a muscle feels like it is holding you back.

Good for

  • Tight hamstrings, calves and quads
  • Heavy training weeks
  • Post-match and post-race recovery
  • Recurring niggles
Deep Tissue Massage at Next Level Sports Recovery

Deep Tissue Massage

Slower, deeper pressure for stubborn knots and long-standing tension that a general massage will not shift.

Deep tissue work goes beneath the surface muscle to the layers underneath. It is slower and more focused, working along the fibres to release adhesions and restore movement.

It can be intense, but never more than you are comfortable with. You are in control of the pressure throughout.

Good for

  • Long-standing back and shoulder tension
  • Stiff hips and glutes
  • Restricted range of movement
  • Aches from physical work
Cupping Therapy at Next Level Sports Recovery

Cupping Therapy

Dry cupping lifts and decompresses the tissue to boost blood flow and ease tension. Add it to any session for £5.

Cupping uses suction to gently lift the skin and muscle, the opposite of massage pressure. This draws fresh blood flow into the area and helps relax tight, overworked tissue.

The round marks it leaves are normal, are not bruises, and fade within a few days. It is always explained first, and it works brilliantly alongside massage in the same session.

Good for

  • Improved circulation
  • Back and shoulder tension
  • Muscle relaxation
  • Recovery between sessions
Trigger Point Therapy at Next Level Sports Recovery

Trigger Point Therapy

Precise, sustained pressure on the tight knots that refer pain elsewhere, like headaches from the neck or back pain from the glutes.

Trigger points are tight, irritable spots in a muscle that can send pain to other areas. Steady pressure on the exact point helps it release and settle down.

It is usually worked into a sports or deep tissue massage, wherever the tissue needs it.

Good for

  • Tension headaches
  • Neck and upper back knots
  • Referred pain
  • Glute and lower back tightness
Soft Tissue Release at Next Level Sports Recovery

Soft Tissue Release

Pressure combined with movement to lengthen tight muscle and restore range, especially where a joint feels stuck.

A lock is applied to the muscle while you move the joint through its range, so the stretch is aimed at exactly the right fibres. Friction techniques are used on stubborn spots in the same way.

Quick and effective for tight calves, hamstrings and hip flexors, and for getting a shoulder or neck moving freely again.

Good for

  • Tight calves and hip flexors
  • Shoulder and neck mobility
  • Returning from injury
  • Pre-event prep
